Alright! Got my present from MINDEF already! So excited. But wonder is it monetary? Have not received the payment from my previous IPPT. Hmm alright, probably due to the election and long weekend. Oh well, I'll be checking my bank balance often then.

X-mini MAX II Speakers

Bought this twin portable speaker from Causeway Point on impulse and that I was given an offered price. Since then, this X-mini has always been in my bag when I am going for picnic, beach or trips. When I am indoor, it will be playing out tunes from my iPhone or music player, filling up the room with its strong bass. Comes with built-in battery which charge by USB port, this baby can last for a few movies marathon on a single charge. Definitely saving the hassle and cost to buy battery repeatedly.

Come September 1 is the day Singapore celebrates to honor the teachers for their special contribution, Teachers' Day. (Note: World Teachers' Day - October 5)

In one way or another, the teachers/instructors/coaches/mentors you have had has influenced you to become who you are today. To commemorate this day, I urge you to put their philosophical sentences in your status, in any medium possible. These sentences, phrases or words are the ones which help to mould who you are today. Joby GorillaPod SLR Tripod

Bought this sweet handy tripod from Cathay Photo Peninsula Plaza at almost 2 years ago and it has really served its purpose well. It captures great moments at your requested angle without the hassle of asking help from passerby or experience shaky hands. Standing tallest at 25cm and weighing 800g, GorillaPod SLR is a truly a lightweight and portable camera accessories. There are many other brands for this type of tripod, some tagged at very low price. But this from Joby is able to satisfy my demands and still durable after all the trips we have went through together.

NSmen IPPT (Part II)

This is the way to do it! I have done it at Maju Camp. So please do take note, only FCC are monetary and not the convenient SAFRAs near your home.

How to do it?
Booking of Individual Physical Proficiency Test (IPPT)

Go to ns.sg portal, log in via SingPass or NS Portal ID. Choose your favourite FCC, your convenient date and train for it!

Each IPPT session easily have more than 100 participants. Therefore, do expect queues at the station and detailings for the 2.4km run.

Show your Identification Card at the IPPT counter inside to receive your Number Tag. The card holder behind is for your Identification Card. The changing room is just located beside the counter. The IPPT stations in Maju Camp are electronic systems.

Lifeproof iPhone 4 Case

First trial of the Lifeproof iPhone 4 Case at the pool. Works perfectly, no sign of any water seepage. Disappointed that the touchscreen function does not work underwater due to the layer of water which unable to transmit the signal from my finger. It works normally once out of water. All other physical buttons such as Home-screen, Volume adjust, Ring/Silent and Sleep/Wake buttons are fully functional. Thus, photo-taking in underwater is only available with release of iOS 5. Alternatively, screen shots from the recorded videos are equally clear.

That's the surprise I received when I turned up after class for my IPPT at Jurong SAFRA. Obviously, I have trained well for the past few weeks in order to earn my $400 by getting a gold. But, it turned out that monetary IPPT only held at the few FCCs.

So, back to the cool NS Portal, I have to re-book my IPPT. For those who are not aware, clearing your IPPT after your NS is very important and essential. Not only is it another source of income, it is compulsory to clear it every year. Else, you will be spending time on RT, IPT and so on. Go to the portal to know more!

Meanwhile, I will have to continue to jog around my campus to maintain my $400 fitness level.

Dialogue with Mr LKY

Queued for close to two hours and finally, a ticket to the coming Dialogue with our respected Minister Mentor. Totally worth it. Really looking forward to the day.
